Though we are wine country here in the Okanagan Valley, most years we experience a brief bitter cold-snap, generally mid January. This was taken a few years ago during one such snap when the temperature plummeted to -27° C (-16.6° F). Steam rose from the lake ... connecting with low laying clouds, making ribbons of cold lace. Though beautiful, defiantly a time to be staying indoors rather than wandering around outdoors looking for things to photograph.
Arriving back home I felt I had earned, and fixed my warmer-upper hot chocolate with a splash of Grand Marnier.
